About Me

A Medical Journey Spanning More Than a Quarter Century

I completed my residency in orthopedics and traumatology at GATA Haydarpaşa Training and Research Hospital. Today, I bring the experience I gained in military and private healthcare institutions to my patients at Sana Tıp Merkezi.

My priorities are accurate diagnosis, honest guidance, and a treatment plan tailored to each patient. Surgery is considered only when truly necessary, and only after all options have been discussed with you.

My Treatment Approach

Why Op. Dr. Mustafa Akyüz?

Accurate Diagnosis First

Treatment does not begin until the source of the problem is clarified through a detailed examination and any necessary imaging.

Minimally Invasive First

Arthroscopic (closed) techniques are preferred in suitable cases — less pain and a faster recovery.

Up-to-Date Treatments

Regenerative options such as stem cell and PRP therapy are offered to suitable patients based on scientific criteria.

Honest Guidance

All options, expected outcomes, and risks are explained clearly; decisions are made together.

Frequently Asked Questions

For any other questions, you can reach us on WhatsApp or visit the page with all frequently asked questions.

How can I make an appointment?
The fastest way is our WhatsApp line: message 0533 493 93 41 and we'll plan a day and time that suits you. If you prefer, you can also call the same number to make an appointment.
What can I expect during the examination?
At your first visit, the history of your complaints is taken in detail, a physical examination is performed, and imaging studies such as X-ray or MRI are ordered if needed. The goal is to clearly identify the source of the problem before starting treatment.
Does every pain require surgery?
No. A significant proportion of orthopedic problems can be managed without surgery through exercise, physical therapy, injections, and lifestyle adjustments. Surgery is planned only when truly necessary, and the decision is made together with you.
Which areas of the body do you treat?
I treat all musculoskeletal problems, particularly those of the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and wrist. My special interests are trauma, sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, and stem cell-supported regenerative therapies.
Is stem cell therapy suitable for everyone?
No; regenerative therapies work best in early- to mid-stage osteoarthritis and limited cartilage damage. After examination and imaging, you will be told clearly whether it is suitable for you.
